We Build Good Things Only From a Strong Foundation: Growth and Humility in 2022

Over the last few years, we have been astonished by the growth we’ve achieved at 7Factor. After our self-proclaimed “Year of the Boom” in 2021, we wanted to assure ourselves, our clients, and our partners that even though our size had changed, our core values remained unwavering. That we would do the hard work of staying true to our beliefs while scaling up our culture to match the scope of our opportunities. So we renewed our commitment to abide by the seven factors that define our culture.

2022 was no exception to our growth. As we conclude the year, we’re excited to report increases in both revenue and humans!

One thing that stands out to us about these triumphs — including those of this year — is that they have stemmed from intentionally keeping in mind that bigger isn’t better; better is better.

“Throughout all of our growth,” assures 7Factor Software Engineer Amy Maraisane, “the culture now is the same as it was years ago: people first, constant desire to improve and grow, huge focus on code quality. That is a testament to the leadership team and to the high level of commitment that you can feel from every team member.”

And staying true to ourselves has had even bigger benefits than bottom lines or expanded rosters. It’s allowed us to remain close partners with great organizations such as APG Emerging Tech, Hirewell, RileyTech and Rootstock, and support the causes close to our hearts. It’s driven us to launch a new apprenticeship program, and revamp our website to match our speed and standards.

Other people have apparently taken notice, too. We gained several accolades along the way, including the 2022 Inc. 5000 and Inc. Regionals awards, the Atlanta Business Chronicle 2022 Pacesetter award, and were recognized as a Clutch Top B2B Company. We’re extra proud to have achieved Atlanta Business Chronicle’s Best Places to Work for the third year in a row, and celebrated together when Jeremy Duvall was recognized as an Atlanta Business Chronicle 40 under 40 award recipient.

As we set our sights on another new year, Director of Client Services Sarah Dant is confident the foundation from which we’re building will continue to take us far. “For 2023 our goal is to strengthen our current partnerships and build new relationships,” she says. “Technology continues to impact all business units. We are building relationships within a lot of different industries and continue to see the need for custom solutions. I am very excited to see what next year has in store for our company. We have amazing engineers and leadership within 7Factor, and I know we will only continue to Build Good Things!”

Whether you’re a client, a dedicated staff member, a partner, or even just a fan of our YouTube channel, we know we wouldn’t be where we are without you. Thank you for helping us become even better at building good things — without getting a bigger head. And if you’re newly curious about us and our work, we look forward to growing into the new year with you.
